Sophia Fatema and Diego Barrientos (Blunt) began collaborating earlier this year after hearing each other play at the Spiral Cafe open mic. The meeting of their diverse backgrounds has resulted in a unique and captivating sound in the original tunes that they perform. From singing with the St. Christopher Singers to fiddling and back-up singing for Jesse Roper, Sophia has been involved in an eclectic collection of musical projects over the years. Meanwhile, Diego has a background in classical, flamenco and traditional Chilean guitar and taught music in Chile for over 10 years before relocating to Victoria. As a duo, Blunt's sound has evolved significantly as they have become more experimental and delved into the world of looping to deepen their instrumental arrangements.
